Smash

Privacy Policy

This page explains what information this review site collects when you read it, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do about it. The site is an independent guide to Smash Casino. It is not the casino, it has no player accounts and it never asks for payment details.

What we collect

Reading the site does not require you to give us anything. Like most websites, our hosting setup records technical data when a page is requested: your IP address, the browser and device type, the page you asked for, the referring page and the time of the request. These server logs help us spot errors and abuse.

If you write to the editorial team, we also keep your email address and the message you sent so that we can answer you. We do not ask for your name, address, date of birth or any banking information, and you should not send us such details.

Cookies and analytics

We may use a small number of cookies or similar tools to count visits and see which review sections people read. The figures are aggregated, so we look at totals and trends rather than at individual readers. Where the law requires your consent for non-essential cookies, we ask first and respect a refusal.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site stays readable without them, although a few convenience features may reset on each visit.

Links to the operator

The review contains buttons and links that lead to the Smash Casino website. Once you click one, you leave this site and the operator's own privacy rules apply to anything you type there, including your email address, password and payment information. We never see what you enter on the casino's pages.

Some of these links carry a tracking parameter so that the operator can tell which visit came from us. That parameter identifies the referral, not you personally.

How we use the data

We use logs and analytics to keep the site running, to fix broken pages, to judge which parts of the review are useful and to protect against spam and automated scraping. We do not sell personal data, we do not build advertising profiles and we do not use your information to decide how a casino is rated.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a limited period, normally no longer than a few months, and then deleted or anonymised. Emails to the editorial team are kept for as long as needed to deal with your question and for a short time afterwards in case you follow up.

Your rights

Under Australian privacy law, including the Privacy Act 1988, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Send the request through the editorial contact channel and tell us which email address or IP address it concerns, so that we can find the right records. We will reply within a reasonable time.

If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when our tools or the rules change. The latest version is always the one published here, and continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the current text.
